Uruguyan Jockey Club

The Uruguayan Jockey Club, based in the capital Montevideo, took over the Jockey Club building on 18 de Julio Avenue in 1920. The impressive building was constructed by the French architect Jose P Carre. Today the Maronas racetrack in Montevideo stages the Gran Premio Jockey Club, over 2000 metres, which is the second leg of the countries Triple Crown. Winners of the great race since 2010 are shown below.
